1) Eligibility

Open to legal U.S. residents, 18+. Nominated coaches must be (a) 18+ and (b) currently coaching a school or youth team located in Westchester County, New York. Employees/owners of Sponsor, their immediate family/household members, and any voting-platform vendors are not eligible to be nominees or winners. All participation must comply with these Rules and applicable platform terms.

2) Contest Periods (Eastern Time)

  • Nomination Period: 9:00am on September 1st to 11:59pm on December 31st.
  • Public Voting Period: 9:00am on September 1st to 11:59pm on December 31st.
    Sponsor’s server is the official timekeeper.

3) How to Participate (Free)

Nominate: During the Nomination Period, visit https://www.greenspans-law.com/outstanding-coaches-contest/ and submit the nomination form including coaches name, school, school district, & sport coached. You must have permission to provide the coach’s information. Limit one (1) nomination per person per coach.

Vote: During the Voting Period, visit https://www.greenspans-law.com/outstanding-coaches-contest/ and follow on-screen instructions to cast one (1) vote per person per 24-hour period for any eligible coach. 

Optional: you may share a link on social media to encourage others to vote; sharing does not increase your daily vote limit. No automated, bulk, fraudulent, or incentive-based voting (including bots, scripts, VPN/proxy massing, vote exchanges, or pay-for-vote schemes). Sponsor may monitor and void suspect votes and/or disqualify a nominee for abuse, in its sole discretion.

4) Winner Determination; Tie-Break

At the end of the Voting Period, First, Second, and Third Place will be awarded to the eligible coaches with the highest verified vote totals. In a tie, the winner will be the coach who first reached the final tied vote count according to Sponsor’s logs.

5) Prizes (awarded to coaches)

  • First Place: $1,000
  • Second Place: $500
  • Third Place: $100

 Total Approximate Retail Value: $1,600. Prizes are paid directly to the winning coaches by check or ACH within 30 days after verification. No substitutions or transfers except Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value for reasons beyond its control.

6) Verification; Taxes

Potential winning coaches may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release, and W-9 (for prizes $600+) within 5 business days of notice, or prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next highest vote-getter. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees. If required by law, Sponsor will issue IRS Form 1099-MISC.

7) Content & Publicity

By submitting a nomination or accepting a prize, you (and each nominated coach) grant Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use submitted content (including statements and photos) and the coach’s name, likeness, and biographical details for administration, winner announcement, and promotional purposes in any media, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Do not upload materials you don’t own or have rights to use. If a nominated coach does not consent to publicity, Sponsor may disqualify that nomination.

8) General Conditions

Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs integrity or proper functioning, and may disqualify any individual or nomination suspected of tampering or violating these Rules. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Release: By participating, nominators, voters, and coaches release and hold harmless Sponsor and its agents from any claims or liability arising from participation or prize use. Limitations of liability apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9) Platforms & Schools

If promoted on Facebook/Instagram/TikTok/X, the Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with those platforms. Participants provide information to Sponsor, not to any platform. Schools/districts/teams are not affiliated with, and do not endorse, this Contest unless expressly stated.

10) Privacy

Information collected is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at https://www.greenspans-law.com/privacy-policy/ and will be used to administer the Contest and, if you consent, for marketing communications. You may opt out at any time.

11) Disputes; Governing Law

All issues and questions concerning these Rules shall be governed by New York law, without regard to conflicts principles. Venue: state or federal courts located in Westchester County, New York. Class action waiver: claims must be brought in an individual capacity.
